About Our Playground

The physical environment outdoors offers your child many of the same developmental opportunities available inside, including dramatic play, creative movement, gross-motor and fine-motor exercise, water, sand, and block play, and art play. It is a safe, pleasant, and stimulating playspace.

The Village School playground is one of our great features. By local standards our playground is one of the biggest in the area, nearly one half acre in size. And it's loaded with large shade trees. Most of the playground is in shade. It is very much a park-like setting. As you can see below we have lots of play equipment. But we have lots of running room left over as well.
The Village School has two playground areas, one for our toddlers, and the other for our older children.
This is the complex play structure for the toddlers and two-year-olds.
We use engineered wood fiber surfacing for the fall zone here.  It's like walking on a pillow.
Our toddler playground, shown to the left, is in an area on the east side of The Village School, separated from the larger play area. It addresses the needs of the toddlers and two-year-olds.
The bigger playground, shown here addresses the needs of the older children, three-year-olds and up. This is the complex play structure for the older children. Wood fiber surfacing is used here also.

And here is the 4-Way Coaster Climber
...And the Crawl Tube.
The two-bay swing is quite popular; it requires a waiting list also.
All of the equipment you see here was engineered and built for us by GameTime of Fort Payne AL
