Summer Camp

The Village School Summer Camp is available to children who have graduated kindergarten through the age of 12. Each week during the summer includes three days of thrilling fieldtrips.

We attend places like The Perot Museum, Rangers Ballpark, Palace Of Wax and Nickelrama, just to name a few. We also go swimming At The YMCA once a week. The children take a swim test by a licensed life guard before being allowed in the pool. Life jackets are available for every child who is unable to swim. Tuition is paid weekly and does include the price of fieldtrips (excluding Six Flags and Medieval Times, which are optional). Breakfast, lunch and two snacks a day are also provided. We start taking reservations for our Summer Program in March. Please stop by or give us a call to reserve your spot.

Swim Lessons

Swim Lessons 2The Village School offers discounted swim lessons through the YMCA during the summer. Swim lessons are available for children ages 3 to 12. We schedule 3 sessions with the YMCA. Each session lasting two weeks. Children go Monday through Thursday. The instructor to swimmer ratio is 1:4 for beginners and 1:6 for more experienced swimmers. The YMCA has 2 additional lifeguards on duty and The Village School sends 3 or 4 staff to help supervise the children. We believe it is so important for every child to have basic swimming skills, and we also understand how busy parents schedules can be in the summer. We would love the opportunity to help be a part of this huge milestone with your child. We have been taking children to the YMCA for swim lessons for over 20 years. We have developed a great partnership with them. This is a wonderful opportunity to have your child learn how to swim while also not having to take time out of your busy schedule. We start taking reservations for swim lessons in May.
